As you age many common changes occur that are detrimental to optimum breast shape. Not only does the volume decrease but also the overall shape is adversely affected by weight gain and loosening of the breast supportive structures. Many women notice this as “the breasts getting longer-droopier” and “ loss of volume” particularly in the upper pole. The overall effects of these aging changes are a loss of definition of the chest and trunk area. With a little weight gain there seems to be a lack of waist definition and an overall effect of ageing. Proper exercise will help with weight control and cardiovascular health but will have no effect on droopiness.
Augmentation-Lift for rejuvenation
Probably the best surgical solution is to restore volume and lift the loose tissues. While this is a longer operation than augmentation only the recovery is surprisingly rapid. Many different methods exist and a variety of implants can be used in this setting (including the new light weight Gel implant).
“After I had my children my breast drooped down my chest. I got this hollow appearance where my breasts used to be. I also have these funny fat rolls in my armpit area.” Says this young executive,” I wanted my full breast volume back, but I needed a lift as well.”
“After my surgery the changes were amazing. My chest was back to its old size and back where they belong! I have my waist back – I look terrific in my dresses”
Breast rejuvenation is a very popular option for the reversal of the aging breast. Lift-Augmentation surgery is similar to breast enhancement surgery in recovery, pain, and time off from work.
