You may have seen Madeline Stowe in this month’s We Were Soldiers and wondered what was different. With the recent rise in “mini-procedures” Hollywood starlets are now proudly sporting new enhanced lips. Today we show two different lip augmentation cases. Both enhancements used the patient’s own tissues for plumping-up the lips. Various tissues can be used. While fat-grafts may be the best choice for one, fascial tissue can be used in others. Often patients were previously using Collagen injections, now a more permanent solution is in order. Many now see a fuller lip as desirable and pretty. Aesthetic surgeons have known for many years that thinning lips are a telltale sign of aging.
