Case of the Month--March II---Brow lift

Brow Lift
As an individual ages and muscle tone diminishes in the forehead, furrows may develop along the brow, eyebrows may begin to droop and the eyes may appear smaller, more tired or sleepier than they actually are. A brow lift is designed to give the eyes a smoother, friendlier and more youthful appearance. The procedure not only improves the appearance of the eyes, but also eliminates or diminishes the age-related furrows, creases and frown line above and between the eyebrows.

During a brow lift, an incision is made at or slightly behind the hairline, where it will be completely hidden by surrounding hair. We carefully weaken the muscle that caused the furrows, and gently lift and stretch the skin, raising the eyebrows and creating a more alert appearance.Click here to see more cases

During the first three to five days following the procedure, patients may experience some discomfort, which can be controlled with prescribed pain relievers. For two weeks following the procedure, temporary swelling and bruising in the upper cheek area are common. Patients are encouraged to wear tinted glasses to help conceal these conditions.
