Anyone who is self-conscious about his or her nose will find rhinoplasty
offers a new found aura of confidence. The procedure can significantly
enhance an individual's facial appearance by creating a more graceful
nose and an enhanced profile. We customize the rhinoplasty to uniquely
compliment each individual's face whether the goal is to remove
a bump, taper a tip, or in some cases, build up nasal depressions.
Occasionally, a rhinoplasty is performed in conjunction with a chin
augmentation to obtain optimal aesthetic balance.
During
a rhinoplasty procedure an inconspicuous incision is made on the
rim of the nose and inside the nostrils. Without disturbing the
soft tissue of the nose, we gently reshape the supporting structure
that caused the external imperfection.
Immediately following a rhinoplasty an external dressing will be positioned on the nose for five to seven days. Patients may experience some discomfort which can be managed with prescribed pain relievers and an ice pack. Swelling and discoloration of the eyes are frequently experienced and will gradually diminish. The full benefits of a rhinoplasty will not be realized for approximately one year after the procedure since the last one or two percent of the swelling disappears very gradually.
Unlike many other cosmetic procedures for the face, a rhinoplasty is performed to correct flaws unrelated to the aging process. It can be performed as soon as the nose is fully grown - as early as sixteen years of age. After age 45, a rhinoplasty can be performed but the nasal tissues are thicker and, therefore, harder to sculpt during the procedure. No matter when a rhinoplasty is performed, patients often marvel, "I should have done this years ago!"

Surgery) Following the procedure the eyelids tend to be swollen and bruised
for a few days. Simply applying an ice pack to the eyes helps most
patients. For at least one week, patients should avoid substances
that may irritate the eyes including lotions, sunscreen, moisturizing
creams and makeup. The eyelids may be sensitive to light, wind and
dust for a few weeks, however, using eye drops and wearing sunglasses
will help alleviate this sensitivity. In most cases, hooded eyelids tend to occur with age and individuals
who have their eyelids reshaped typically are between 35 to 50 years
old. The results are usually long lasting. For more information

The eyelids are often the first facial feature to show signs of
aging resulting in a sad, tired appearance in even the most energetic
individual. Blepharoplasty can return youthful elegance to an individual's
face, making the eyes appear brighter and more refreshed. Some individuals
experience an accumulation of fat in the lower eyelids creating
persistent "bags" under the eyes. These "bags", however, are not
always related to aging. This tendency may be inherited and may
appear in early life before the aging process becomes noticeable.
Other individuals may notice the skin of the upper eyelids may become
lax and impart a hooded appearance to the upper eyelids and, in
severe instances, even obscure vision. Sometimes this excess skin
is caused by sagging of the forehead and eyebrows. If this is the
case, a brow lift should be considered.

Do Your Eyes Make You Look Tired?

An
upper eyelid blepharoplasty involves an incision in the natural
skin fold above the eye where it is well hidden. During a lower
eyelid blepharoplasty, the incision is made inside the lower eyelid
where it will be invisible following treatment. Excess skin and
fat deposits are removed as necessary creating more definition beneath
the eyebrow and around the eye.
